I hear that consumption of soy based foods such as soy burgers, milk etc., is harmful for health?

Uhm, i drink soy milk....
There is conflicting research and studies about soy... just like alcohol (they say red wine is bad for you, but then apparently it's good for your heart).

If you read and believed everything on every Islamic site out there, the only thing left for us that would be halal is water.
Soy milk - never heard of that being haram.
Soy sauce - some are fermented, so some can have a 1-2% alcohol content.

Alcohol puts anyone who drinks it at higher risk for a lot of conditions, so any so-called benefit is not worth all the risks that increase due to its consumption. Grape juice has the same benefit.

^ I think something in soy is or mimics estrogens, hence the above. But I'm sure someone has better info out there.

Someone somewhere is constantly figuring out a most convoluted reason why something is haraam. Just ignore these idots. Soya milk is good for you, both men and women.
