How much does weight fluctuate within a day or two?
What's a reasonable #?
I weighed myself on my friend's scale (i'll leave out at how horrified i was at the #) but the next morning it was 6 pounds less.
Today I bought a similar digital scale and it showed me at 10 lbs less than yesterday. I checked it again after 5 minutes, 20 lbs less!

Haha maybe the scales r not working, my cousin had a digital scale and it stopped working after a week or so, used to giv her different info' each time she stepped on it lol
the ones they hav at the gp surgeries and clinics are the best, they giv most accurate information, but they are too pricey to hav at home.

Different scales will give you different weight outcomes....so it's important (for your own peace of mind and sanity) that you use the same scales to monitor your weight.
Go with the scales that weighs you as the least, and chuck the rest out

All weighing scales are calibrated and that's why you get different results with different ones. Its best to use one for monitoring weight throughout or you will be pulling your hair out !
From water retention to glycogen storage and changes in lean body mass, daily weight fluctuations are normal.

With digital weighing machines, sometimes weight fluctuations take place because the main screen number is not 0.0 before weighing. It may already be a negative number like -0.7 or may be a positive number. This adds or subtracts from our actual weight.
I once checked my weight and it showed 3 kg less in just 2 days. I just couldn't believe it but then i fixed it to a 0.0 and it showed the correct result!

Sara 516... in ur case the scales r not working properly because weight cant fluctuate that much.... I had this problem too, dont buy digital scales buy the one with needle scale.... hmmm weight after atleast 2 hours of taking meal if u r checkin ur weight daily to keep record... clothes can add weight too... wear light clothes ... and I dont know its the fact or just I had this experience that the weight doesnt come right if u put the scale on the carpet... try to put it on floor like wood or marble....

weight is all dependant on how much water you have stored in your body. If you've eaten alot of sugar the day before, it can take several days for your body to lose the extra water, hence, the extra weight.
If you don't have a regular eating schedule and routine. If your diet varies alot, then the best way to go is by using a tape measure rather than a scale. In ramadan especially, because of the irregularity of diet and time, the weight will fluctuate alot during the day. This is all due to the water in the body.
