Has anyone used EMLA, the anaesthetic cream and if so does it make injections completely painless? I have the worst phobia of needles but am due one in the next couple of days
My mother uses it prior to her dialysis.. u have to apply it 20-30 mins before and keep it covered with a plastic tape. It only numbs the area slightly... u still feel the prick!
^ Thanx Gina. I was hoping it would numb the skin properly so will give it a miss. Btw hope ur Mum is managing ok with the dialysis and it is not too painful.

I used EMLA for some time when I was undergoing laser hair reduction. I started using it an hour before tretment, with a touch up every 15 mns. It just numbs the area so you feel less pain (in my case, heat), but it still pricks...
