So in a few weeks im going to start a strict exercise and diet regime inshallah as its my bros wedding in Dec...so I will have about 10 weeks to get into shape....
I want to lose at least half a stone if not more and tone most of my body..
Now I need help from you guys to help me decide what I should be eating..
The plan would be:
Breakfast: cereal
Lunch: sandwich or salad
Dinner: grilled or roasted food or then salan with 1 roti..
along with at least an hour a day exercise-at least 3-4 times a week..
now is this realistic?
Also, what else could I eat during the day to stop hunger pangs or any other food with I could eat which would be low in fat and would help my diet...
Theres no room for this going wrong..I have to loose weight..but I want to do it healthily...
Thanks

congratulations on ur bro's wedding. i think thats the wrong reason to loose weight. u rather trim urself for urself to feel good and to lead a healthy life. exercise, diet and an attitude to feel good is all that u need to be in perfect shape. Good Luck and yes don't forget to post a few pix of the shaadii. thank you

#1- you did not list what exercise will you be doing for an hour a day
#2- type of cereal, sandwich/salad and salan make a difference as well- what about snacks, drinks, etc.
there is not enough information to see whether you will meet your goals.

an exercise which is taking a stroll for an hour a day will not do anything if someone is eating footlong hoagie/hero of tuna salad, washed with a big gulp of coca cola, large bowl of sugar laden cereal, and butten chicken type stuff for dinner.
is it easy peasy and even lemon squeezy..yes.
as long as you are doing the right exercise, and eating the right amount of right things.
but what would I know

you did not see presence of it , and I did not see absence of it, thus my words in my initial post "there is not enough information to see whether you will meet your goals"

Why are you waiting for another few weeks? Why are you only giving yourself 10 weeks? I can suggest a few things:
The heaviest meal of the day should be your breakfast. You should not be having salan and roti in the evening if your goal is to lose weight that rapidly.
One serious request I have for anyone trying to lose weight.........please dont crash diet and exercise. The weight WILL come back twice as much and twice as fast after you stop. Its the nature of our bodies...it hoards food and fat when it feels like its not being fed enough.
How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these. ~George Washington Carver

hai hai pssquard i do love youbuttttttttttttttttttttt
ok i didnt crash diet, i lsot weight fairly quick, however i have not put any weight back on, although am eating like a fatty, and have consumed more than half the populations somaso quota....yet i havent put on weight its been 6 weeks since i stopped dieting, and i havent gained anything, i admit i feel sick thru eating too many fried foods, but i have maintained my exc...so im still exc but eating hoardssssss
u will gain weight REGARDLESS of any diet you go on IF YOU CONSUME MORE THAN YOU BURN so i could lose 1 stone in 3 weeks or 3 months, however if i then stuff my face full of crap I WILL PUT ON WEIGHT. PERIOD..

- Switch to wholewheat or bran bread
- Have plenty of water
- Popcorn is a great mid-day snack
Along with u're portion of grilled chicken/fish/meat u may want to add steamed veggie's or a baked potato.
Soup, with lots of vegetables keeps u full.
Fruit juices have empty calories as well..flavor u're water with lemon, oranges, mint.
..all you need is trust and a little bit of pixie dust!

mix weights with aerobics
aerobic exercise hits fat and muscle both, so while you lose weight you lose fa and muscle both, which has implications when you step away from 1 hour of aerobics 4 times a week routine.
weights help grow muscle mass, to counter against muscle loss in aerobics, and the increased muscle mass will then increase your resting metabolic rate.
by muscle mass, i am not saying u want to be like some body builder, but muscle as a perentage of your body mass.
