What are side-effects of pills which are taken to delay menstruation?

If taken for short time then not much side effects.
Pills are of different kinds though. Most of them for this purpose have progesterone. You can read about them in package insert.

If you use this type of medication once for the purposes of wedding or super-special occasion han here should be little side effect. If you use them for the purpose of having a period only a few times a year though...be very careful. Your system will shut down and there is no guarantee that it will be able to restart.
When you fool with mother nature, she gets even and she's not nice about it.

i think one of the most common side effects is the weight gain...am i right?

i took once for umrah...i did not have ANY side effect...worked as it said it wud....
what good is a grudge if you cannot hold onto it.

It is because of water gain. But it is short lasting and not so big deal if used for short time. Similar to just before periods, women gain extra water and feel fullness.

if you r just taking them for like max period of 10-15 days or less than that . they work fine . yea but the withdrawl bleed is a bit painful or maybe stranger than your normal period.
but you should not take it more than 15 days . it can cause breakouts , weight gain, irregular mentsrual cycle or even total amennorhea (absence of period)
