I Did it, and it worked wonders.

it was very difficult the first week, as it involved only meats and eggs, but boy did i see the results!!!

Breakfast was eggs, lunch was kebabs with a little salad, supper was some sort of meat with maybe egg or cheese.

after about a week my apetite was such that i would fill up on just a little food, and didnt have the apetite to eat a lot else.

The best part was you can actually feel the weight coming off, i kept the weight off for about a 18 months, and then it slowly crept up again, but i just dont have the stamina to go through it again

thats why i wanna try the south beach diet

i don't think it's the best thing for your health to suddenly stop eating carbs (also difficult) and as clothesmad experienced, the weight comes back when you stop.

i would gradually changed your diet to cut down/out carbs - rice, pasta, processed white flour.

to begin, taking out any carbs at dinner time would be the easiest thing to do. get used to that, then cut down the amount at lunch. we still need carbs so rather than cutting them out completely for a quick fix weight loss, why not just try modifying your diet - wholmeal bread, roti, pasta etc.

OMG!!!

i lost 9lbs in 2 weeks, and to be fair i kept it off for 18 months and i did eat carbs.

i did it for 2 weeks, but it disciplines you so much that you are aware of what your eating and you just naturally start to limit your carbs.

its only for 14 days after that you have to introduce carbs back in your diet. The most amazing part of it was come about day 10 you can actually feel your curves!!!!!

After the initial 14 day period I used to eat roti, only i would ensure i ate more meat than the roti, also with rice, i ate lots more protien but did not stop eating carbs, as the diet suggests you have gradually introduce carbs back into your diet.

where previously i used to have 2 slices of toast with egg, i cut it down to 1 slice of toast.

I have to be honest i felt great after wards, and as soon as i put weight back on i used go back on it for 3 days (as suggested) and i was back to the weight i wanted to be at.

I wish i had the motivation to do it again, but hubby eats everything and im just too weak to say nooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes black tea, but i used to drink that anyway!!!

it was egg for breakfast, scrambled, boiled, cheese omelette, plain omelette,

lunch was sometimes kebabs (chicken or lamb) with some lettuce and cucumber, sometimes added some chopped cubes of cheese to it.

Evening was again some sort of meat or fish, i used to pick the boti from the handi and wash it !!! (it was worth it), but you do get over it honest. you can have mayo with it, i used to eat loads of meat ( cause i like it anyway). i woudl buy grilled chicken and like eat all of it

by day 8 you can have strawberrys and cream and also no sugar jelly, also nuts.

you can get Atkins choc bars and stuff now, that should help.
