Try a Neti-pot! Its instant releif! You pour warm salt water into your nose, looking down into a sink with your head turned...the water drains out the other nostril. Do this on both sides and your sinuses will be completely cleared out.

Intox...do you have a turkey baster? That would work! You could also try a little rinse in the shower....look up at the ceiling and let the water run into your nose. If it gets into your sinus cavity, you'll be able to blow out the clogs and will feel better instantly.

Nope! it's not working. It's a small baster and not have enough force I reckon. or may be I am not doing it properly. and blockage could be another reason water is not going through. but it's not that bad ........ one nostril is unblocked again and is a lot better. I think steam inhalation worked. My night will be a lot better. and hopefully I will recover fully by tomorrow.
Mamaof3, Gina and s_mk - thanks alot.

run the hot water (max) in the shower, close the bathroom door and just breath in all the steam in the room.

^ Hashmat, it was just a cold and the blockage came with it. It's almost 90% back to normal within a day now. I am pretty sure I don't have any symptoms of what you are suggesting AH. But thanks anyway.
A friend's brother had this 'Post-nasal drip' and boy he was in such a messy condition. he would be clearing the mucus from his throat and outa his mouth every 8-10 minutes 24/7. I mean dude get it treated properly ..... money or medical facilties was not a problem ..... but NO!...... such a loser victim desi mentality ..... "oh no I got it checked at so many places ...... I am stuck with it".

You are right. Deviated septum can be operated and the problem will be fixed but it is an extremely painful recovery.
