Cream cheese n smoked salmon or non-smoked salmon with garlic n chives.
      Chopped chicken in mayo.
      Mixed veg n cheese.
      Spinach, mushrooms n ricotta.
Chopped aubergine sauteed with red peppers, onions n tomatoes.
Chicken, mushrooms n sweetcorn in a cream sauce.
One must make a mark in this world, if I am remembered for anything, let it be cheese and crackers...

YUM that sounds good. We should all go over to Halwa's

      I've also seen

      spicy potato filling

And some people use them for deserts as well. Stuff them with cream and fruit (strawberries, for example).

Hmmmmm.....I've never had chicken pot pie before. But it would be interesting to use a chicken pot pie filling for the vol au vents.......which would provide the flaky exterior/shell that a pie crust provides.
