No no, this is not the lunch ideas for little kids. This is for the college going ppl on here. I usually have a free class hour between classes but usually something going on, like a meeting with a prof or some finishing touches to my homework etc. So, to all the college going clan here, what do you guys take to school for lunch?I cant take egg, tuna or kabab sandwiches etc becuz of them going bad or something i guess. I am bored of PBJ sandwiches. I usually take fruit (apples, bananas, grapes etc) but they dont fill me up that much and I am still hungry after an hour I want to make healthy choices but when I am hungry like this, I go for junk stuff in the vending machines and then i hate myself for doing so
So come on out, get me some good suggestions!

I wish I knew what Ribena was
I have started taking Nourische with me, its like a yogurt smoothie, tastes pretty good.
If you have access to a microwave, then I would also suggest the new soup in a bottle product that many companies are coming out with

Ribena is a delicious drink. It's blackcurrent fruit juice mixed in with water. Tastes so yummy.
At the grocery stores here, you can buy a tiny bottle for about $8 cause it's an import product ... much more expensive!! At the desi stores, you can get it for much cheaper.

Wont the pasta salad/chicken salad go bad??I suppose it probably wont if i eat it within 3 or 4 hours. I tried taking kabab sandwich once but every time i would open my book pack, you could smell kababs I havent taken that ever since. Thanks sis.
MehnazQ, carrot sticks and celery??Hmmm..........yaar i am a full time desi, u think these things would fill me up until 5 pm?
I used to buy those granola bars but then stopped since its all processed food and chemicals. I like to stay with natural foods as much as possible (well........i try!).
But girls thanks for the ideas. If you guys htink of anything else, shoot away

I have a suggestion, Ira.
You will need:
1 or 2 bananas
Any other fruits to replace or add to the banana
A ziplock type sandwich sealed bag
Chaat masala
Water
What you do:
Take the fruit, dip it in the chaat masala and eat it. By the time you eat two bananas, you will be full. When your mouth starts to burn due to the chaat masala, guzzle down one or two cups of water, and voila. You will have officially stuffed yourself with fruit and water. You shouldnt be hungry after that. Try it. *smile*
