Oily fish is the stuff thats going to make your hair, skin and nails improve because of the high levels of omega oils.

Oily fish......salmon, sardine, mackeral, tuna. Basically anything that isn't 'white' fish like cod/halibut/monkfish etc

Why not just drink a couple of pints of omega oil?

^ you don't need pints. Just a spoon of Cod Liver Oil, or flax capsules once a day is enough RDA for good health.

Cod Liver Oil capsules have vitamins in them, is it a good idea to take them whilst taking other vitamin supplements as well? It wont have any adverse effects will it?

You can take cod liver oil and vitamins together as long as you don't exceed the RDA's on either.
You can buy cod liver oil enriched with vitamins, in one capsule so you don't need to take them as separate supplements.
