How do you do it?
Its so hot here that perfume just does not stay on you
My friend was telling me you are supposed to spray it in the air in front of you, above your height and after a second stand there for sometime...Is this true?
Please share your perfume applying method...thanks

If you want it to stay on, do not use sprays. Just invert the bottle onto your bigger thumb (in case both thumbs are of different size), and apply it behind earlobes, around the neck, inner wrists, etc.

Perfume is haraam
But I wore some today - by Rykiel Rose, and because its hot and it kept evaporating, I kept the bottle with me and re-applied it.

Irem sweety according to Glamour magazine, theres no point in keeping bottles of perfume for long periods of time because the scent changes over time and it evaporates anyway. They suggest buying small bottles of perfume and they say you should actually use them. Dont be kanjoos with it, no point keeping it on your dresser for 2 years.

The one that really lasts is Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs, the hole in the packet after you pay for it lasts a long time too though.

I dont use anything expensive although I love Jean Paul Gaultier, Ralph Laurens Romance, and Diors J'adore.
This is called Rykiel Rose by Sonia Rykiel. It smells divine and I also Nicole by Nicole Miller which is gorgeous!!
I used Body by Victoria (Victorias Secret) for well over a year. It became my trademark. hehe Sexy By Victoria is also very nice.

Long time back I read someplace that perfumes basically come in 3 different instensity levels.

Perfume
The most concentrated form of fragrance oil (and the most expensive), perfume is the strongest and longest-lasting of fragrance forms and may contain several hundred ingredients. It contains 20 to 50 percent perfume compound.
Eau de parfum
An alcoholic perfume solution containing 10 to 15 percent of perfume compound.
Eau de toilette (cologne)
Cologne is a light form of a specific fragrance with a 3 to 8 percent concentration of perfume compound in an alcohol water base. Cologne is less concentrated that Eau de Parfum. It is created with a lighter concentration of fragrance oil, and is ideal for a more subtle impression.
Moisturizing perfume mist
A moisturizing perfume mist is a fragrance that does not contain alcohol. It is a spray that contains oil and leaves skin with a silky smooth veil of perfumed moisturizers. It is ideal to wear in the warm weather because it is less drying to the skin.
