I just took out my leather jacket from the winter closet and it smells of the shoes in my shoerack. Whats the best way to remove that summer long closet smell?
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

we have the same problem with our clothes that come out of storage, its even worse b/c we live right next to the sea and our area is very humid and that exacerbates the musty smell
hmmm....to store u can put phenyl balls...and another thing u can do is...take some nice smelling soap...like LUX....cut it into chunks like about 1"x1"x1", wrap those chunks in tissue paper [just one layer] and put the chunks in the middle of ur clothes
once u take a piece of clothing out, jus put it in some sunlight so the germs r killed and the thing freshens up...ofcourse dont put sun sensitive clothes in harsh sun tho...
and then just spray it with some nice perfume and put it under the fan for a couple hours...
dats what i do atleast and usually it works

I would rather throw away my clothes than put that creepy stuff in 'em. The smell is so ever-lasting.
