So I have to cook for my sister and me but I never know what to make aside from noodles and that's getting boring. We have a lot of frozen samosas and other stuff but I was thinking in terms of salan. i can make something with gosht only cuz my sister doesn't eat veggies.

im gonna try making fruit chaat today and dahi baray for iftari. Can they be made with besan? Someone have the recipe for that?

Here is an easy recipe for dahi bhalay

Half cup besan
make a thick paste adding warm water
add salt, etc
I dont' really put a lot of masalas for this mixture
now fry pakoras using this mixture.
Usually one table spoon equals one pakora.
After u take pakoras out let them soak in water for a few minutes.

Now take some butter milk and pour it out on a bowl.
Add your spices, salt, red chilli powder, zeera etc.
Add pakoras. That's it.

If u like u can add chick peas and one boiled potato.
Hope this helps.

why dont you trymaking aloo qeema? its easy and yummy,

chop two oinions and put them with some oil into your cooking pan

put the mince meat in as well,

add a tsp of salt red chilli powder and 1/4 tsp haldi (this way you can add more later if anything is less)

add water till the meat is just submerged

then let it cook till the water is dry and the meat is slightly fried (you could add a chopped tomato and cook it into the meat here if you want)

boil some chopped potatoes and add them to the cooking pan, let it steam for a few minutes then garnish with dhaniya and a few green chillis

.....................

you could ser it with rice / roti depending on your preferance also you could make khatee daal

good luck
