Can someone please help me out?

Will I be eating more healthier if I have curry and boiled white rice or curry and Roti?

Although both are carbs, the roti is healthier than rice.

Unless it's brown rice in which case that would be healthier than the roti?

Either way, I would say they are on par with each other and it's what you eat it with and the portion sizes that would really affect how much weight it would make you gain.

Amused

I think rice are good only when used bolied because of less amount of starch like use in biryani and in daal chawal. Roti is good but simple roti not paratha aur sheermaal type.

I fink Jackie was right on money, if roti iz made of whole wheat flour than its wayyy better than rice unless offcource its brown ( unprocessed) rice.

Reason: Wheat flour has fiber in it ....... n u might have heard of the fact that fiber iz nature's appetite suppressant. It keeps u feelin satisfied on fewer calories so u r less likely to overeat and wont have an urge to munch all day long . Fiber also slows the absorption of nutrients into the bloodstream, which in turn lessens insulin bursts and thus slows fat storage. Apparently, if u already have undigested food in ur tummy, u wont feel hungry as often.

So, the bottom line iz that ....... Fiber gives you a feeling of fullness sooner for fewer calories (and for a longer period of time), a good nutritional strategy for staying lean. Definately go for whole wheat roti than starchy low-fiber white rice.
