Jias....
you need:
milk.....................4 cups
cream ..................200-250 ml
sugar...................6-8 tsp.
salt.......................a pinch
vanilla.................1/2 tsp. (i use crushed vanilla pods)
cookl all the above together making sure milk doesn't stick to bottom
cook until thick n a bit creamy
let it cool
beat with electric beater ...n freeze
after some 30-40 minutes take out from freezer n beat again
repeat this at least 3-4 times ...this will ensure soft texture without crystals
you can make ice cream with custard too ....just add a bit more sugar than normal coz it feels less sweet otherwise
i've even tried with youghurt too ....freeze the flavoured yoghurt or make your own flavoured version
for mango ice cream mix mango purree with cooked mixture n freeze
