Okay you know those juices you get at middle eastern restaurants. They are usually made fresh on the scene using fresh fruits like strawberries mangoes bananas kiwis apricots oranges etc etc. They are usually pretty thick almost shake-like but theyre not really shakes cuz they dont use milk.
I tried making one at home once but failed miserably. I know they use sheera (water with sugar dissolved in it) but not exactly sure how. Its came out really thin and watery and there were big bits of unblended strawberry everywhere . What im looking for is viscosity.
So, anybody has any solid recipe?
Sincerely,
Captain Lota

Use a blender i believe. Extracted juices are totally different.

What i have discovered is tat if you use lotsa crushed ice or frozen fruit , your fruitjuice should turn out thicker, much thicker. Also try using a good blender. I have made strawberry shake several times and its always pureed fine. I would freeze strawberries overnight and then blend them with orange juice or watever fruits u r using.
The bestest blender i have ever seen in my whole life is by KitchenAid. THe smoothest results ever!!!!!!!!!!! Love KitchenAid! Ofcourse it costs like 80 bucks as compared to the usual 20 for a normal blender at Kmart or Walmart etc. But its worth every penny.
I love children and old people. Its everyone in between I can't stand - Don Imus

Sadaf baji. If you would be kind enough to tell us what did Sanobar's julab taste like so we can maybe try our hand at it. Was there a description of the juice in the menu? Like what fruits is it made up of?
Ira, ill try your method tonight. Hopefully i wont embarass myself this time!
Sincerely,
Captain Lota

They DO use milk. Yes
Those are shake-like cz those ARE shakes. But not a lot of milk is used.
Now thank me
