Is there a difference between "smoothy" & "shake"?

I understand the yogurt part....lekin orange juice addeed to yogurt/milk?
And the reason I don't add yogurt is cause I don't like it that thick.

The ones I make are quite simple. Take any 1 or 2 kind of fruits(strawberry, pineapple, banana, apple, etc) and blend them with desirable amount of milk and lots of vanilla/strawberry ice cream scoops. Smoothie tayyar :-)

I'd also like to know how to make smoothies made from orange + milk combo!!

I got the following recipe from a website. Can anyone let me know if I can use fresh oranges and blend them to make this smoothie?? Please reply ASAP. I need to make it tonight!!

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup milk
1 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons sugar
2 large scoops of ice cream
PREPARATION:

Mix milk, orange juice, sugar, and ice cream in a blender or put in a large jar; cover and shake. Serve orange smoothie immediately.
Makes about 3 cups of orange smoothie.

doesn't orange cause the milk to turn sour and clot immediately, like lemon?
