Is there a difference between "smoothy" & "shake"?

I understand the yogurt part....lekin orange juice addeed to yogurt/milk?
And the reason I don't add yogurt is cause I don't like it that thick.

The ones I make are quite simple. Take any 1 or 2 kind of fruits(strawberry, pineapple, banana, apple, etc) and blend them with desirable amount of milk and lots of vanilla/strawberry ice cream scoops. Smoothie tayyar :-)
I'd also like to know how to make smoothies made from orange + milk combo!!

1 cup milk
1 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons sugar
2 large scoops of ice cream

doesn't orange cause the milk to turn sour and clot immediately, like lemon?

smoothies are usually made with low fat yogurt and shakes are usually made with milk/ice cream.
