We used to have roasted, fried baTairay on Eid in PK. Do they have baTairay in USA? I know Apple Bee's used to have quail on it's menu.
By the way, what's a baTaira in English?

BaTairay are too small to be hunted down with an airgun. They are usally trapped in a net, just like sparrows. Then they are slaughtered one by one.
I have also eaten sparrows in PK. They don't have much meat on them but the bones are tasty to chew on.

I don't expect you to munch on sparrows either. I really don't get it though...if you can eat chickens, why not sparrows? Aren't they both from the same family?

Little animals just evoke more sympathy. Even a budha sparrow due to its size looks like a baby thing. How could u be so cruel!
