Anyone have a recipe for dum ka keema, or dum ke kabab. I want to try and make some for Eid!

Are you looking for seekh kababs on dum with masala?

Here is a rough recipe of Dum walay kabab my father makes...

Dont know the right proportion he just adds the things in and doesnt know himself how much, but makes the best kabab.

Qeema 1/2 kilo about
Onion small 1 bareek kata hooa
Ginger, about 1 tbsp
salt
red chillie

Mix them all and make seekh kabab shapes.

in a chopper, chop 1 large onion + Large tomato + few cloves of garlic + ginger. Chop them roughly, dont make a thin paste. Add chillie and salt.

Put the chopped masala in a pan, lay the kababs on top of them, add oil .. cover and cook until done.. Dont stir them at all, otherwise they'll break. hold the degchee from sides and shake it so that it doesnt stick to the bottom of the pan.
When the kababs are cooked. Bhoonafy the masala well.
add loads of fresh corriender, green chillie.

very simple just make kababs and keema in a regular way and dum it with koila thats it ....

^^Thanks everyone. I was talking about dum with koila.

If I made dum ka keema, is it supposed to be drier than regular keema?? (i.e. not as watery?) Or should I go ahead and make it like regular keema, and then put the koila in and cover it?

u have to make it li bit dry than the regular one . And the recipe i used for keema is shown below but i never take any measurement mera apna andaza hota hay

so u need
keema
red crushed pepper
zeera
salt
green chillies
ginger
garlic
onions
tomatoes
garam masala
dhanya


boil the keema 1st and do not add water kyoo kay keema apna pani khud chorta hay add salt and zeera in it while boiling. Jab pani khusk ho jay to turn off the burner.Than in a separate pan add some oil than add bareek kata huwa onion and when onion turn slightly golden add more zeera bareek kata huwa ginger and garlic when garlic and ginger turn brown add crushed red pepper than add boil keema in it and tomatoes( cut them in lil cubes) than achi tarah bhoon lo than add lil garam masala and dhanya than at the end put a koila in the center of the keema and cover the pan. lejiyay app ka dum wala keema tayar hay.......

I was lost until I read Sadaf's post and found out there was no 'dum' in the ingredients.
