we're having a BIGGGGG family eid dinner this saturday at my house and i wanna show off some of my cooking skills. i already have lotsa aunties bringing in desi usual stuff like pulaos, korma, chicken curries etc etc. i wanna cook something different.....something that will appeal to their desi tastebuds but not the usual stuff either.....
also i wanted to put up some diyas (lighted oil lamps) around the house and roses....anyone know where can i get some nice diyas in new york???

You can also use tea candles, they come in all pretty designs and colors At my sis's mehindi I had decorated the hall with balloons and tea candles and it looked very pretty.

those little chinses candles that are not pretty and can be bought from any chinee store
I hate both men and women, and am afraid of animals, so basically I am very very lonely.

I don't know about other people but I found them pretty, I bought them from wal-mart and joan fabrics, mine were of rose shapes and they were of pretty shades and had little glitter on them . The float in water and you can throw some petals in the waters and it looks very pretty.

thnx amelie...
i am crossing out brownies and making this really yummy cake called 'cold cake' instead... my mom used to make it when we were younger and could eat as much cake as we wanted  it requires no baking
