what's the max limit of days one could keep cooked desi style food in a refrigerator ? freezer ? i've had food kept in refrigerator for around 2 weeks & in freezer for almost a month or 40 days, is it okay to have such food if it's kept sealed , it's not rotten and smells like fresh ? how would u guys manage if esp u've to leave house for sometime & u couldn't consume all of food before leaving ? also tell me the limit of days u could keep noncooked meat in freezer?

I keep cooked food in the fridge for no more than one week. That's my limit. In the freezer, cooked food can go 3-4 months easily. With raw meat--easily 4-6 months in the fridge, but it has to be packaged properly to decrease the chance of freezer burn.
