I have TWINS. one of them is a "6 seconds for everything" son and All time smiles and giggles contest Winner Daughter and we live in USA. Working class who is bringing a bill in the senate to increase a days time from 24 to 32 hours.
well ,,,,, My mind always think of short cuts to make KHANAA for us so that we can LIVE and be able to do other things in life.
The process of THINKING as to WHAT TO COOK TODAY is KILLING.
Here i will be sharing my 30 Minutes Desi Recipes with all working class people and want them to do the same.
30 minutes .. CHICKEN KARAHI. ( Matchless .. Everybody Loves it )
For Chicken 3-4 lbs .. small pieces
+ Put some oil say 4 tbsp > heat medium/Low
+ 2 tbsp ginger paste > fry for a minute
+ 1 tbsp Cummin seeds (safaid zeera) > fry for a 30 seconds
+ add chicken pieces > brown a lil 3 minutes > Close lid let it cook 5 minutes
+ 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder > keep stirring
+ Salt as you like
+ 4 - 6 green Chillis whole small desi mirch
+ 2 - 3 tomatoes medium - Fine diced (fine diced will reduce the cooking time)
+ 1/2 tsp Paprika powder for better red color.
Let it cook till oil seperates . takes not more than 30 minutes for a good tender chicken karahi.
I know 3 more recipies of Karahi but this one is the quickest and distingushed.

Here is another one I experimented yesterday and got a hit.
* 2 lbs Flank Steak > First, with a shrp knife cut horizontal and paralel of the steak to get 2 equal flat sections. Then cut into small thin fries shape pieces about 1 inch in length. Julian as thin as possible . it helps tenderize the meat fast.
+ add 4 tbsp oil
+ 2 tsp ginger
+ 1 tbsp garlic > fry a little
+ steak pieces > fry for 2 minutes
+ 1 tbsp Zeera Powder
+ 1 tbsp Crushed Red Peper
+ 1 cup tomatto sauce ( not ketchup and not paste )
+ 3/4 tsp garam masala
+ 1/2 cup yogurt
Cover and cook for 25 minutes on low/med heat till meat is very tender. Last 5 minutes on high heat dry the liquid as much as possible.
Sprinkle with fresh chopped cilantro and enjoy with Naan.

chicken karahi and chicken stew are quick and good meals to make in 30 minutes.
A lot of veggie dishes and daal dishes take around 30 minutes too. Bhindi ki bhujia is quick. Daal/chawal is quick too.

Prove it Muniya, make some karahi chicken, freeze it and send it to me,
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist. And like that... he is gone.
