i use phyllo pastry sheets to make shakar paray
lazy way but taste just as gud. in fact crispier.
roll sheet one by one. cut into slanted strips, abt 1 inch.
fry, drain the oil and dust with powdered sugar while slightly warm. done!

Nisa I made it yesterday but I make the dough with a knob of butter, sugar, flour and milk. I also put soonf in it. Once done I leave it for a few hours then roll it out and cut into strips and then in diamond shape. Once fried I leave them out until they cool down and get crispier. I keep them in an airtight container and they last for a week or so.... Uss say pehlay he mera bhai kha jatta hay saray!!!
