ingredients:
1 cup yogurt
1 tsp kalonji
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp heldi
1 tsp garem masala
1 tsp red chili powder
1 big red onion - chopped
3 tomatoes - chopped
few stems of fresh corriander leaves
few green chilies - finely chopped
5 medium washed, peeled & cut gongloo :>
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup olive oil
method
fry onions in oil till brown. add in all spices, except kalonji. add in cut turnips. add water. lid and cook for 20 minutes on medium high. add in tomatoes and yogurt. mix well. on high, cook till the moisture is left very little. add in kalonji. cook for another 10 minutes or till the cooked turrnips have turned darker in color as cooked vegetable bhujia.

remove in a nice dish. garnish with green chillies and corriander leaves.
serve with fresh cooked roti, heated up nan, boiled or rice.

If you add spinach to it and do not put tomatoes, it will be altogether a different taste. (eat it with plain boiled rice).

yes i made some times with palak and it taste great. but i only add tomatoes to masala,dont add yogurt.and with boil rice,yuummmmy
