my friend told me this one thing...boil chicken in vinegar and blackpepper and all the "gand" will come out of the chicken, as well as the fat...and then prepare as usual. anybody heard of it? any truth to it?

no but a better way to prepare chicken is to have hubby or brother or dad do it and then you cook it and you won't even have to touch it or worry about the gand!!!

I havent heard about boiling it just to clean it... my sister just fills up a dish or pan with water and a half a cup of vinegar and kinda swishes it around and gets rid of the water and repeats till the water becomes clear... thats how she can tell if its clean. About fat bein removed this way, its true.

Oh and im sure its understood that to clean it, its best to skin the whole bird.

Agree...plus boiling for such things will make the chicken lose its nutritious value.

How clean does the chicken need to be before preparing? Just add soap to a bucket of water till foamy. Add the chicken and shake vigorously. Then rinse until the water runs clear. Flavor & cook.

vinegar is very effective when it comes to cleaning chicken or any kind of meat. not sure about boiling but letting it stay in water with some vinegar works.
