so i was wondering tht we girls plan everything like dresses etc n then most of us get stuff for our new bedroom and we think of a certain colour theme .....so a two questions from those who r married and who r going to get married:
1. do u keep in mind wot ur fiance/hubby might think of wot u chose like if u choose peach would that be too girly for him???
2. wot colour theme did u have or u want??
i really like peachish shade or that offwhite look in the bedroom though ppl r telling me its too sober for a newly wed me dun care ......

whatever color you get, don't forget to color coordinate your bathroom as well.
waisay stylo that is a pretty bedroom. you could always brighten it up with a bed spread and keep the rest neutral shades.

Hope you don't mind Stylo but I think the thread is better suited for this forum. As you highlighted in the title, the subject is the bedroom decor not the wedding.

Peach is not too girly, depending on the brightness of the color. A bedroom should have muted colors because it's a place of relaxation. Colors have an immense effect on us. Don't paint bright, active colors (like yellow, orange, red).
My bedroom (though it was painted that way before we got the house), is a pumpkin color. It's muted and still beautiful

not to be a kill joy, but you girls who actually have an option of decorating your room (even better house ) to move into asap....just consider yerselves lucky... not everyone else has the luxury of being allowed to decorate their living space..

a house is when it is comforting for everyone. when people living in a house, all remember this comfort is a right of everyone living in it, then it becomes a home.
a newly wed couple, is or will be living in joint family with whichever side of the inlaws have a portion of the house, they should be able to decorate it as they wish. and if the common areas are common, then decorate your bed and study rooms or get your own space, soon without annoying or hurting the inlaws.
these are small issues that are best handled when they are not given importance over the relationships that people have to work over to develop trust, indicate care and clearly say, that the husband and wife are not going to make their relationship go sour because of these kinds of hurdles.
Difference between God and humankind: God can say, 'be', and it becomes, but humankind has to act on what it says.

Honestly, even in joint family one shouldn't have problem decorating their room. If painting is a problem, one can always keep the existing paint, and play around with other things in the room. One can always buy a nice bed set, some acessories to with, move around the furniture in the room and there you go. One really doesn't need a big budget, it can be done in/with a small amount of money. You don't need anyone's permission on how to decorate your room, the room you are living in.
May Allah bring peace in Pakistan. Ameen
