Hello ladies/gents!
I need help planning a menu for 3 guests(incl a kid) who will be staying with us for 4 days. I need some good menu items that will be EASY to make since I am also taking summer classes and dont want to spend too much time in the kitchen. Please suggest some items that I can make in advance and freeze(no salans, these guests prefer fresh food ONLY ) So please help me out. Here's what I have come up with so far:
Day 1
-Nihari w/ Nans
-Salad
- Chicken nuggets (for the kiddie)
-Dessert: Fruit Trifle
- what else can I make?
Day 2
-we'll have lunch outside
-For dinner: Chicken tikka w/ Salad and Raita, Garlic cheese breads(is this menu too dry??)
-Dessert: Mango Kulfi and Fresh fruits
Day 3
-Lunch: Biryani, Seekh Kababs w/ Nans, Raita and Salad
-Dessert: Strawberry Cheesecake
-Dinner in a restaurant
Day 4
- Need suggestions for lunch!
What do you think?? Too much meat?? What should I change? Please help!!! Thanks!!

Your menu is good but for day 2 with tikka u serve garlic bread it may be dry use prathay aur chapati to balance it or u can just bake a pizza for day 2nd and for day 4 u can make chineese vege rice with stir fry veges with sauce and for dessert icecream and caramel mud slide is good for summer lunch.
WE NEED BLESSINGS OF ALLAH.

I would add some vegetable beside salad in the menu as well
Macaroni salad will be really good, kid too will like it
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Simple-...ad/Detail.aspx
I usually follow this recipe but instead of putting 1 cup of mayo I only put 2 tbs and lots of Italian dressing
cold ferrni will be good for hot summer afternoon dessert.

why dont u buy readmade pizza dough , saves u time and effort.
if yur guests r n ot meat lovers then u can also make cahnney (chick peas). u can add veggie in meat or chicken if u dont want to serve just veggie itself.
qeema with mutter or capsicum
egg fried rice and sweat and sour chicken (does not take much time)
u can cook some dishes half way through and freeze it and when u need it do rest cooking at that time, it will be like fresh. like if u want to make meat just cook i to point where its tender(gal jaye) but dont put oil, freeze it and next time take it out add oil an ddo bhunaye. i hope u understand what i mean.

hmmm... whenever I have guests come over for dinner I make sure the menu consists of meat, veggies, chicken, daal, salad ... one of each of these. In your case you could make biryani, salad, raita and nuggets on day 1. make gosht karhai and pasta on second day. make mixed vegetables (desi style) and daal on third day. and make chicken salan or something on fourth day. I dont think its a gud idea to make a sweet dish on all 4 days... ure being too hard on urself! :P as it is you will have to do other work and it can b exhausting too.... relax and just cook!

I want to say taht make just pizza with garlic bread etc no tikkay at all, I like your idea for making " Chicken tikka pizza, garlic bread, and Veggie pasta". That is complete meal. For some other vege dishes u can make vege jalfrezi for day 1 and for day 3 u can make vege pie or mirchon ka salan ya bagharay baingan.

^^LOL....I love your idea, belle.
Anyways, thank you ladies for all the ideas. I have noted down all these lovely items to my list but I'm going to ask the guests for their input as well, I don't want to make something and then find out they aren't going to eat it.
They are arriving tonight!!!! I hope everything goes well
