get varying sized of cloth boxes or cane baskets.
place different things in different size of cloth boxes or baskets.
shelve all note books/books & store away all dvds/cds on a cd rack.
sort and place important mail in a mail sorting wooden rack with paper knife or letter opening in it.
place pens and pencils in a cup.
try to keep the desk free of clutter now that you have organized everything and placed in designated areas.
only have a blank writing pad or sticky notes on the desk next to the lamp and laptop.
place small odds and ends in a container tray and keep in drawer.
wipe clean the wood with a wipe.
keep your chair comfortable and not have a lot of coats or bags hanging on it or shoes stored underneath it.
