Hi,

I have ladies lunh party at home, 5 ladies plus 8 kids are total. This is the first time I have ladies lunch party so I have no ideas about menu.

Menu,

Singaporian Rice / Chicken vege fired rice
Chicken chilli
Chicken veges Jalfrezi
Qeema vege noodles
Spring rolls
Potato qeema cutlets
Fruit triffle


Is this menu is ok for summer lunch or any other good idea.
Thanks in advance.

Too many items on the menu, its a banquet!

Theres no children specific foods, id make mini pizzas or mini burgers for them fussy ones
Also theres no vegetarian option.

I think children can eat both noodles and rice without any problem.

She has vegetables in the chicken, noodles, and rice and so a salad would make it complete.


I would say just go with a regular toss/garden salad with squeezed lemon.

Anyway, if you want a seperate vegi dish then just go with a simple mix vegetables. you can also make them in sweet and sour sauce but if you go with a vegetarian option then skip cutlets.

Also spring rolls can be served as appetizers.

You have 3 chicken dishes and 2 dishes containing qeema. How r u going to do this, buffet style or sit down?

If sit down, i would advise putting everything on the table at the same time (except dessert) so ppl can help themselves, but i would definitely change the menu. Rice and Noodles are 2 types of bulky items, shouldnt u have just one choice? Then u can have one type of chicken dish with it. Then have qeema based curry with some naan breads. Spring rolls and potato qeema cutlets sound good. U should also make 2 types of salad, such as fresh greek salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, olives, sweet peppers, feta cheese cubes, dressed with lemon juice, olive oil and pepper dressing. And a potato salad, u can make it healthy by adding some yogurt to the mayo.

Trifle is always a favourite.

Try to keep things simple and prepare things in advance.
