To my delight, I'm seeing more and more desi families making an effort to go green.
Soooooo --- lets all share our green practices around the house.
I'll start - we:
- recycle
- try to use washclothes for cleaning
- re use zip lock bags that we use to freeze things in ...
go ahead you're turn

Lol go greeen means doing things to save environment like using glass bottles, recycling paper, cans, and any plastic, using energy saving lights, etc....
May Allah bring peace in Pakistan. Ameen

- I switch the lights off of a room when I leave the room
- Don't use dishwasher (don't have one in the apartment nor do I need one)
- Reuse plastic bags
- Try to reuse ziploc bags
- Have energy savers in entire apartment
- recycle whenever and wherever I can
However, I don't care about organic food and stuff and don't go berserk over being eco-friendly and going green and what not as people do these days.

I now recycle plastic bags and glass jars/bottles. Collect them up in a box and take them to the recycle bin.
Recycle foil, paper, card, plastic bottles.
Switch off all lights not used in house.
I also now wash some zip lock bags which can b used again.
Definitely use a wash cloth when paper towel can b avoided in kitchen.
Have an energy and water efficient washer/dryer. But actually to be honest i would prefer one that used more water!

We recycle plastic bags, glass jar's and bottles, newspapers, magazines. Give used clothes, footwear, crockery and cutlery to charitable organisations.

This weekend I changed all my light bulbs to green ones , that will save me a bit on electricity bill also.
