We are having a surprise anniversary party for my parents next week and just booked the banquet hall but are very confused about what menu to keep. We have to let the restaurant know in a day or so and can't decide how many dishes to keep and what to order so that everyone can be happy and enjoy the meal. There will be anywhere between 80-100 people attending. Any suggestions?

Do you have a theme? How about go multicultural... have a dish from different cultures like thai, middle eastern, desi (paki and indian), chinese, american, mexican...

I like that idea. But most of the people who are coming prefer desi dishes more

Then do some appetizers followed by a tandoor menu such as tikka botis, seekh kababs, naans, chicken tikka, bihari kabab, etc. etc...tandoori fish. Have lots of salads. And for dessert do ras mali and gulab jamuns. And a cake for the couple ( )

It depends on how big or small you want to go. Keep it like this:
Appetizer (2-3)
Rice dish (biryani or pulao)
meat salan (1 or 2)
veggie salan (normally 1)
grill item (2-3)
dessert
