Do you have any strange eating habits? Do you mix and match the most different flavors and eat them together?

Ive seen a lot of weird combinations... some that just totally make me lose my appetite.

I myself am a hot sauce freaaaak! I add like two tablespoons to all my soups and noodles... I just could never have enough. Another strange combo of mine that raises quite a few eyebrows is mixing ketchup with this one daal... its a dry yellow kind.. cant remember the name right now, and eating it with roti. Its really, really good. As a child I used to mix ketchup with my pulao... but im totally over that now. But occasionally I boil rice, add milk to it, some sugar and cinammon and eat it like you would cereal. Oh, and channa chaat or dhai bhallay with jalebi pieces mixed together... sounds so random but it is DIVINE!

I even add salt on some fruits... I dunno where I got the idea from, but now that ive started.. im HOOKED. I rub salt on peaches and oranges and the taste is just 1000 times better than it would be without any flavoring added.

My BIL has the strangest concoction ever.. it makes my stomach turn.. but he seems to really love it. He spreads mayonnaise on roti, puts in some keema aaloo and pours ketchup over it and some lettuce leaves... rolls it up like you would a tortilla.. and eats the whole thing in like 4 bites... I dunno, it just looks really yukkkh to me.. but he insists its delicious.

Stressed

Weird eating habits eh? Yeah i've got several......but only others consider it weird. I think i'm VERY normal with a HIGHLY DEVELOPED and ADVANCED sense of taste! LOOOOL, just kidding.

Okay, so, just like you I LOVE my hot sauce!!!!!!! I like it in a lof of desi saluns. Hot sauce in daal, on haleem, baingan, Kurri, etc. etc. And if you mix hot sauce in mayonnaise, it tastes awesome. I'm sure I could drink it straight out the bottle.......but I don't wanna scare anyone. Oh and try this: Open up a jar of achar and spoon a little of the achar masala and oil and mix it with mayonnaise. IT makes a nice sandwich spread! So does ketchup mixed with hot sauce. It was a match made in heaven!

Speaking of ketchup. I like mixing my ketchup with imli ki chutney (one of my loves)......it creates this SUPER YUMMY SWEET and SOUR combination! One day I'm gonna mix ketchup and imli (tamarind) and sell it. I'll call it Aisha's Ketchamarind and market it and make millions!!!!!!!!!! Now this might make you puke....but once the ketchup on my plate accidentally mixed with the mint chutney and yogurt....and it tasted alright!!!!!!!! Oh and I like to mix ketchup into my Chinese rice and noodles. It grosses my mom out.......but it's quite delicious that way. Since I was a little kid, I've always felt that ketchup could make anything taste better ....even yucky saluns!

Oh, and I enjoy mixing apple juice and sprite/7-up. It creates an apple soda. Very nice. It's like the bubbly halaal champagne.

And I personally believe that aaloo ka paratha tastes better when it's cold. My mom thinks I'm a freak. Poor Mama.... she works so hard frying up a nice warm aaloo ka paratha for me, fresh off the frying pan...........and I take it and stuff it in the freezer for the next 15-20 minutes. It never fails to amuse/surprise her. Actually, I think she's getting used to it. Just the other day, she put it in the freezer for me. Now, don't get me wrong. I don't eat it ice cold. But it just tastes better when its cooler.

And waffle with ice-cream and maple syrup------to die for!

Ive always eaten fruit with podeenay ki chutney, if thats not available I sprinkle paprika on my fruit, esp bananas with paprika

Other than that I like smearing my boiled rice with wasabi.

And always have dessert before the actual food which is okay at home but when I go out and order Fried Icecream before the entree and main course, the asian waiters offer me confused looks

Bored

Can you beat this from Health & Support Forum of about.com:
Some of mine include-
  • Cutting up my sandwich or whatever I am eating into very, very small pieces and eating them with silverware, even if it was a sloppy joe or turkey sandwich
  • Dipping my sandwiches/crackers/fruit/cookies in milk
  • Ripping up my sandwiches and dropping them in milk, then eating it like soup
  • Cutting up scrambled eggs, salad leaves, spaghetti
  • Cutting up my english muffin or bagel upside down
  • Taking forever to cut up a piece of fruit because I refuse to bite into it
  • Mixing foods like peanut butter with tomato, chicken, turkey etc.
  • Eating foods lighter in color first, then darker ones later
  • I hardly ever use ketchup/mustard/salt/pepper anymore, maybe its the whole 'fear of calories' thing
  • Experimenting with microwaving foods and seeing what tastes good
  • Eating either really fast, or really slowly.
The following should be enough to ruin any body's appetite for at least one week.
