Salaamz.
Looking for a recipe for Steak or Pasandy.
Mild in spices please - and no Shaan packets.
Gracias!

Munz, here's what you can do.
If you want it the desi style:
Steaks, garlic, ginger, green chillies, black pepper, yoghurt, salt, lemon juice.
Score the steak with a knife. Apply salt and lemon juice on steak. Set aside. Meanwhile grind the garlic, ginger, green chillies and yoghurt and black pepper in a blender. If you have a peppermill, then don't grind the black pepper. We will use coarsley ground pepper later.
After half hour, marinate the steaks in this mixture. Add coarsley ground pepper at this time. Cover and marinate for an hour.
Fry in med-high heat. These are not to be grilled because the yoghurt would be a disaster. Just shallow pan fry. They cook real fast.
Happiness often sneaks in through a door you didn't know you left open...

^ or you can do a grill pan and oven combo which will give you really tender juicy steaks

One of the BEST steak recipes I ever had is called Steak Diane. I'll link the recipe below...but note first, it calls for 1 ounce of brandy. This is something I skip because it is used to set the dish on fire - more for effect than for taste. They say the alcohol burns off so it may (or may not) be ok but either way, the recipe is FAB without it.
