they're the same thing. but there's no such thing as oatmeal soup? unless you mean really watered down oatmeal?

When oatmeal is cooked in milk into a thick creamy mixture it's called porridge. Some other types of grains can also be used.
Happiness often sneaks in through a door you didn't know you left open...

oatmeal soup....I have heard my grandmother making something savory with oatmeal and chicken cooked in chicken stock,lightly salted...maybe thats oatmeal soup...??
I think its meant for babies ...but I might be wrong...

Porridge is different from soup. Try mexican oatmeal soup and its different than how its cooked.
