ingredients:

2 pureed slices of bread
1 can condensed sweetened milk
1 cup regular whole milk
10 chothi elachi seeds
1/2 cup crushed pistachios and almonds
desiccated coconut and pine apple cubes

method:
freeze over night, the inner container that comes with the cuisine art ice cream machine.
mix the 2 kinds of milk, crushed nuts, elachis and pureed bread together.
take out the frozen container.
set the container onto the machine and pour in the mixture.
turn on the machine for 35 minutes.
when the ice cream is well mixed and appears to be churned soft but freezing, turn off the machine.
scoop into serving cups.
garnish with coconut or pineapple cubes.
serve the soft home made ice cream, immediately.

note: cuisine art ice cream maker costs $50.00 & is easy to store and clean.

Fine

you can make it without the ice cream maker. the above recipe looks delicious but i always follow the recipe on www.cookingwithbj.com. i don't stir it frequently like the recipe though...fill the mold and that's it.

Nikki baji, I have tried the recipe below sometime back and it came out pretty darn good. The only change I would suggest is when it says add the blended stuff in the whipped cream, basically you fold the blended stuff in the whipped cream.

made this kulfi at home when my cousin provided me with her secret reciepe......

i thought i might share it with you............

1 sweetened condensed milk
1 evaporated milk
1 pack cream
2 slice bread ( bread feels like mava in kulfi)

-in a blender blend "bread" , "condensed milk" and, " evaporated milk" and then add "whipped cream"

-pour it in any container and freez

it is very easy and yummy

*if you want you can add mango pulp, pistachio , grounded cardamom kewra essence or what ever flavour you like............sky is the limit go wild

yummy kulfi

wow, thanks for posting dushwari. I like the pineapple touch...I'll have to try it.

Niksik.....my mom just buys the kulfi mix packet from the local desi market. And she adds the mix to the milk and follows the packet instructions. Then she pours the mixture into plastic cups and puts them in the freezer. When the kulfi sets a little bit...my mom inserts a popsicle stick in the center and freezes again. They turn out sooooooooooo good. And we serve kulfi sticks for dessert when we have parties.

My mom runs the kulfi cups through warm water so that the guests will have an easier time pulling them out of the cup. And she serves them. You should try it. It will be a hit! And you don't need an ice cream maker for this.
