Hi guys,

I made ghulaab jaman the other day, and although it was my first ever time that I made them (and also the fact that I can't cook) lol, they suprisingly turned out very nice.....

So I thought I'd share my recipie with you...Please do try making them and let me know what you think.........

Jamans:
Milk powder: 1Cup + 2tbspns
Maida (refined flour): 1tbspn
Bicarbonate soda: a quarter of a teaspoon
Cinnemon powder: half teaspoon
Butter/ghee: 4 teaspoons.

Water (to knead mixture)

Sheera:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon lemon

Instructions:
Mix all the jaman ingredients in a bowl......Then add enough water so you can turn the powder in to a dough like mixture...Once the dough is ready, make very small balls.

To make the sheera, add water and sugar and start heating......keep this on a low heat. Add the lemon juice.

Heat some oil in a wok. Please make sure that you do not over heat the oil, just keep it warm...

Then add a few balls to the oil and deepfry them on a low heat......Deepfry until you have the desired colour of the balls (its hould be a mid-brown).

Remove from the balls from the oil and add them to the sheera so that the balls can soak the sheera up.....

Finished .......Now serve them warm and enjoy....

I hope this recipie turns out well for you all and plz do let me know how it goes...

Lol...!

Yes you could do that, but making something yourself is just that bit more rewarding
