So people, what do we like? My favourite is Lindt and then some British stuff. To me, American chocolate tastes overly sweet and greasy, americans must b deprived...
Belgian (Guylians praline shells?)
Swiss (Lindt milk chocolate?)
American (Hershey Kisses?)
British (Cadbury's Roses?)

I dont like the generic american chocolate, sickly sweet, all that dang HFCS in it destroys it.

when i came to US for college i told my college pals about the choco here being lame, they laughed about it and actually were amused that I would even bring or get kitkat from UK, then they tried it. Now I know a bunch of midwesterners who get their chocolates from spaecialty stores because they also prefer the UK Kitkat or Twix over american ones.

I like my hersheys!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

If American's do not even like american chocolate, why don't the producers produce better stuff? How odd.
I think I am now going to make a career out of exporting UK chocolate.

RupayHalwa - do they? I grew up up on them and I don't like the taste of european chocolate. I guess my taste palette has adapted.

2 reasons
1) they are not exposed to other chocolate, I mean u dont got o you local 7-11 and get a british kitkat, u get the local one..so u dont know what the other one tastes like
2) you get used to what u eat.

I like American, British, and Swiss. My cousin will only eat American chocolates because she thinks they taste better than the foreign ones. To me, I can't taste a difference. Bring it on, bring it all
Halwa,
I envy you. You have easier access to the Macintosh Quality Street chocolates (as well as easy quality access to ethnic cuisine and shopping). Used to love those candies in that round purple tin they came in. Although, I've heard that they're either not being sold anymore or there is a production problem. Is that true?

Funny - I don't like the taste of japanese ginger. The smell overpowers the rest of the food.
I have unique taste buds. You are what you eat

You know what? I used to live in Saudi........and i will say that the kitkat and twix tasted MUCH better over there than it does in the US. And I heard it was because it's imported from UK. Don't know if it's true, never looked into it. And while i enjoy eating twix/kit kat over here....I enjoyed it better there.
