Ive had the best biryani and butter chicken at two places on Devon: Sabri Nihari and Delhi Darbar.
Usmania's butter chicken tastes like tomato soup...never bothered with anyone else's.

^ I second that Sara... the recipe you gave me won me some major brownie points with the hubby

Sabri nihari's biryani is okay but i agree it's better than other restaurants. I have never ate at delhi darbaar, how are other items that they serve?

I write my recipes here too and then when I have to cook I completely forget the recipe and have to come here and find it, hubby thinks I'm crazy.

Delhi Darbar is Muslim owned and serves 100% zabiha meat.
CorruptAngel...Delhi Darbar is not somewhere you want to have a sit down meal with hubby and kids. You always get take out there but the food is phenomenol!

I'd recommend Sabri Nihari for sure. And the food is halaal. Every trip I make up to Chicago, I always make sure I make a trip there. Haha.
