Suggestions, don't do them all!
Cheese and Crackers.
Frozen samosas that you just fry.
Buy frozen chicken goujons and fry or bake, (or make small chappli kebabs) place inside mini rolls and you make mini burgers.
Pizza fingers.
Cheese and Crackers.
Noodles.
Chaat
Salad for the mamas.
Tandoori Chicken
Fruit punch
Fruit salad
Cheese and Crackers.
Chocolate cake with lashings of cream and fresh strawberries.
Pilau
Cheese and Crackers.

at rupay for the Cheese and Crackers idea.
you can make cupcakes, frost them..and put little sprinkles over them.
not necessarily a food idea, but you can have loot bags to hand out to the kids. go to the dollar store and load up on funky pencils, erasers, party favours (those blowy things), little candies, etc. kids love loot bags

It's not an obsession, it's an INTRODUCTION TO THE JOY'S OF C&C. All the fashionable people are doing it. You will thank me one day.
