I have a mango, some fresh Mint (Medina Stores did not have any Corriander, nor did Morrisons), and red onions.

Apart from chopping all that lot up and mixing it together with some lemon, how else does one make Mango Salsa?

I have never made it before, nor have I ate it before, but I would like to think that those ingredients would go well together...won't they?

It will be served with grilled ginger chicken...(my guest does not like fish, I would have perfered fish).

Thanking youse in advance.

OMG!!!

One must make a mark in this world, if I am remembered for anything, let it be cheese and crackers...

Tomorrow. I shall.

Do you have a recipe to share?

Unfortunately I do not have any cheese or crackers, so I can't really put them in the salsa.

Finely dice half a mango (I used a Brazilian mango, not the pakistani ones, so it was fairly hard).

Finely dice half a red onion.

Mixed togther with juice of half a lemon.

Add a small amount of tamrind sauce (depending on taste).

And Bob's your chacha...mango salsa.

It's actually VERY VERY yummy.

I served it with grilled ginger chicken, however, I think I shall use fish next time, will probably taste better. I didnt think much of the chicken.

2 mangoes
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1/2 medium sized red onion
2 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons zesty italian dressing

slice mangoes, peppers and onion lengthwise (julienne style)
finely dice garlic
toss everything together in large bowl and voila......mango salad

If you dice all the ingredients and toss them you can have salsa......

Here is the one I liked
12 roma tomatoes, seeded, diced
1 red onion, diced
5 jalapenos, diced(add 1/4 habenero pepper for extreme heat)
2 mangos, diced
1 cup finely chopped cilantro
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1 tbsp tobasco or other pepper sauce

MIx all of the ingredients together. Refridgerate for 1 hour and then serve. Keep in mind that the salt will draw out the juices from the ingredients and so the mixture may have to be drained from time to time. Save the juice for Bloody Mary's or Caesar.
