Hi guys,
I'm looking for ideas for meals that I can then take to work with me the next day.
So far I've thought of keema which can be mixed into pasta for a salad the next day.
What other dishes do you cook that taste even better the next day at lunchtime? We do have a microwave at work, so I am able to warm stuff up.
Also, for those of us not living in the desi-land, what is your diet like? Do you mainly rely on Pakistani/Indian food or do you mix it up? I've noticed my bestfriend has lunch at work (e.g. a sandwich) and she always has curry with rice/roti at home without fail. Whereas I rarely eat roti. Is it just me? I'm feeling very un-desi now, lol.

Keema is a good idea because it's versatile.
Other ideas can include:
1) Pasta (lasagna, spaghetti, ziti, noodles etc)
2) Soup
3) Rice (Chinese rise, mixed vegetable rice, etc.)
4) Stir-fry meat with vegetables
5) Kababs
6) Casseroles
7) Potato salad, creamy pasta salads
8) Stuffed pastries

imho, anything braised or stewed gets even better the next day. and you get to pick the fat off the top the next day, makes it healthier.

I get the burger patty and chapli kababs from K & N and make a burger for myself in the evening for my next day lunch .
You can also boil potatoes and add some red chilli pwd and salt according to ur taste in it and keep it in the firdge. Either u can make kebab of it and dip in egg and fry it ( can be used for burger ) or just make sandwiches of it ...they are yummy!

Pilau makes a very nice lunch the next day, with a side salad and / or raita.
Every time I take it to work, colleagues drool. They have tasted it and wanted more so I gave them the recipe.
One must make a mark in this world, if I am remembered for anything, let it be cheese and crackers...

Er, have I mentioned cheese and crackers?
They make a good lunch you know, add a sliced tomato, apple, olives, a dollop of pickle...

how about either roast a whole chicken or boil chicken pieces. And then use the meat in stir fries/chicken salad, in a wrap...etc....or in pasta

kabab sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, any kind of pasta including ravioli and lasagna, or salad. the worst thing u can do is take paki food into work, warm it up and have everyone else smell. ew
I'm better than you and you know it. P.S. I purposely made this bright to annoy you.
