This is random, but do you have a kettle at home? What do u use it for?
In US we get hot water from the sink so there's very little use for it.
Save Pakistan.

Kettles r used to boil water for tea and coffee. Hot water from the tap is used for washing etc.
One must make a mark in this world, if I am remembered for anything, let it be cheese and crackers...

I have one too. Mostly it's used for boiling water for Izzah's feeds. Other than that, we sometimes use it for kahwa, tea, or instant coffee, etc.

No, not that 'fresh'.
We make chai on the stovetop, the old fashioned way in the pateeli/saucepan. Also, we do get boiling water (it's a separate attachment) in our sink (not just hot water). No one drinks coffee at home and when I do, I get it from outside. Hence we don't have a kettle in our home, cuz there was really no use for it. I know it's a household thing in UK, but haven't seen that much of it in US.

Hot water from tap isn't boiling. Kettle is used to boil water for many purposes like making tea , coffee , or steam for medication etc etc......
