Plus, see where the poem says "...gripe and complain and make it hard on someone" and "or be little and hurt them as much as I can"? I think one of the MAIN points the poets is making is that my actions, my moods, my behavior, all affect the people around me. So I have to be responsible for my behavior as a social animal.
Does that make any sense?
