dil mein ab yuun tere bhoolay huwe ghum aate hein
jaese bichray huwe qaabay mei sanam aate hein

ek ek kar ke huwe jaate hein taare raushan
meri manzik ki taraf tere qadam aate hein

kuch hamee ko nehi ehsaan uthane kaa dimaagh
wo to jab aate hein maa'il ba-karam aate hein

aur kuch der na guzre shab-e-furqat se kaho
dil bhi kum dukhta hei wo yaad bhi kum aate hein
