Rules of Bait Bazi:

1. Shair should be genuine and not your own. Post your own in Bait Bazi — Personal Edition of Sho'ra-e-Gupshup.

2. Dont break the chain and always follow the last letter of the last posted shair.

3. Always mention the last urdu alphabet of your shair.

4. If you know the name of the poet, mention that (for other's knowledge sake).

5. Do not write out the whole ghazal/nazam; only two shairs (i.e. Ruba`i, qit`a) at max will be allowed.

ek muKhlisaana mashwarah denaa chaahtaa thaa gar qubool uftaad. aapne farmaayaa k aglaa she'r guzishta diye gaye she'r ke aaKhirii lafz ke aaKhirii Harq se aglaa she'r denaa hogaa aur yehii saHeeH aur rivaayatii tareeqa hai khel kaa magar mere tajrabe, jitnaa kam hai, uske lihaaz se is tareeqe se khel meN mazaa nahiiN aataa kiuN k kuchh der ke ba'd har she'r kam o besh alif, yey, noon par hii TooTte hai aur phir har she'r inhiiN Hurooof se diye jaayeN to bilkul bhii mazaa nahiiN aataa.

meraa mashwarah hai k she'r ke aaKhirii lafz ke pahle Harf se she'r diye jaayeN to bahtar hogaa aur bahooot lutf aayegaa. maiN muta'addid deegar taKhtii e paiGhaamaat par yeh khel aise hii khel chukaa huN.

misaal:

aalaam-e-roz_gaar ko aasaaN banaa diyaa
jo Gham huaa use Gham-e-jaanaaN banaa diyaa

is she'r meN aaKhirii lafz hai diyaa aur uskaa pahlaa Harf hai daal so aglaa she'r Harf e 'daal" se denaa hogaa
