A thief stole the bicycle of a man from a busy bazaar. The man at once spotted him and ran after him crying 'chor...chor'.
A policeman was coming from the opposite side riding a brand new cycle.
Hearing the commotion, he by the gesture of his hand offered the running man his backseat and they both started chasing the thief.
The thief sensing that he would be caught stopped his bicycle and ran into a lane between some houses on foot.
Policeman also stopped his bicycle and ran after him on foot. They both were running. Suddenly the thief returned to the same spot and snatched the new bicycle of the policeman from the man to whom the policeman had handed over his bicycle. The thief ran away with the new bicycle of the policeman.
After this tiring chase policeman returned panting and found his bicycle stolen.
The man whose bicycle was stolen earlier said," Havaldar saheb ! meri cycle to mil gayee. Ab apni ka bandobast karo."
He instantly rode his bicycle and sped away. The policeman remained fuming there.
