When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in 0 gravity. To combat this problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300C. The Russians used a pencil.

how so expected from the americans....
i have seen enuff evidence to convince me that NASA never made it to the moon and the whole thing was just a big hype....
Both Halal & Haram r evident but between them r doubtful things, most ppl have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from suspicious things saves his religion & honor, & whoever indulges in suspicious things indulges in Haram.

Actually thats an old fact .. but true! You can even buy those pens. Pens were used becoz data recording cannot be trusted if written with pencils. But its true the pens were not worth a research!!
But armughal ... whatever facts u have are BS ... I can prove u wrong! Its just a crappy rumor!

its a bloody hoax...
the pens costed USD 1 million to development. This amount was donated by the company who designed the pens. And they are nothing more than pressurised ball point pens.
The russkies have their own version and they dont use pencils either. Pinted lead tips (broken) flying around in a space module isnt the worlds safest thing.
