This is the first time i have ever seen a half decent map of karachi. I finally know how the city i grew up in truly looks like from above. Thank you so much ravage!

it is really cool isnt it. all volunteer work. i finally know how to get around in Karachi. you can map routes from labelled places.. you can even find driving directions.

Reminds me only few years back while coming back from Pakistan I had city maps of Rawalpindi, Lahore & Karachi........
the customs agent said I could not take those with me...........due to security reasons..............
My response was............Junabe aali........dushmana koal te har ik ghar da nakhsha te arial photo moujood hai...........per apnay bashindia te inna control!
Finally I called his supervisor........who asked what I did for a living.........I said Private Investigator........ 
they let me keep the Maps.........

good stuff firenze! everyone, please contribute for your respective areas. urban areas are ofcourse easier to mark, but even approximate indications of villages etc are quite useful. You have the option of specifying how sure you are of the label, so later on people can always refine the marking.

Thats great, I see 'doodh wala' label 
well ... Google satellite vision is very old, I guess more than 2-3 years old, cuz I dont see any bridges in the satellite view! :/

Was anyone able to go into there and make changes/additions to the maps? I wasn't able to. There goes one hour i'll never get back.

TofiBaba I was able to make modifications. It takes some time to be reflected though, has to be approved my mods. Yep atleast 4 edits in there by me.
Maybe check now?
