Hey, welcome to you both!!! i am sure you wl have a gr8 time here, Inshallah .
well so what hot spots should i tell u....restaurants, shopping malls, sight seeing?
Restaurants:
really depends on what u like 2 eat....pakistani, chinese, thia, etc etc but i wl just list down some of my fave spots for eating out...
xhin hua- one branch near m.m alam road and one @ defence y-block market...its the best chinese food u wl find in pakistan!
nandos- m.m alam road
tiramisu- main bulvd, near mcdonals and right at tha back of the building where kabana use 2 exist.
salt n pepper- @ liberty
golden lotus- near hussain chowk at the back of shoppe
some new places: gourmet restaurant @ y-block market, defence, shezan regale @ gol market, defence.
Shopping:
since u r coming from abroad i wud assume u wud be lookin for some pakistani wear..if yes, than u wl find alot of boutique for ready made and many where u can place oders. For western wear, you can go 2 crossroads, ideology, ammar bilal, levis, etc. Check out xinhua mall @ hussain chowk....it has alot of good shops under one roof.
Hope this helps. Let me know if there are any questions, concerns....wl be my pleasure if i can help out in any way.
Long Live Pakistan- Yay 2 Democracy!!!

Hsin Kuang (probably the best Chinese restaurant since Xin Xuan closed down)
Freddy's Cafe
Cafe Alaynto
Coo-Coo's Den (pic)
The Village
Food Street
Lakshmi Chowk
The restaurants inside Avari Hotel are pretty nice too
The Pancake lounge (great dessert).

and the only HOT SPOTS in lahore that people can think of - are places to EAT

do try and take a day trip to hiran minar in sheikhpura - an under-rated but brilliant and serene place.
wazir khan mosque, soneri masjid, data ganj baksh, badshahi mosque, the sikh gurdwara next to badshahi mosque, the tombs of the mughals, shalimar gardens, lawrence gardens, lahore zoo, jallo park, wagah border,
how i wish i was in lahore now :P
