Why should I not be allowed to take care of the people who have raised me, done everything possible they could to give me a good life? Who made up the idiotic rule that as a girl, my parents are not really my parents; rather my in-laws are the ones I should take care of? I know there's nothing in Islam that it is farz only upon the son to take care of their parents. I wouldn't mind taking care of my in-laws as well as my own parents, but that's in the future. Right now I want to do as much as I can to help out my parents. Is that so wrong? I want to delay getting married because I want to do something good in my life. Not that marriage isn't a good thing, but at this point in my life, it's the last thing I need. But I tell my relatives in Pak that and I get the "Allah raham karay!!" or "Tobah astaghfar!!"

teray tey meray.. chiill out sis.. I hope you do keep care of your parents as they are the ones who took care of you and they LOVE you more than anyone else so its your FARD to take care of them..
I think its every childs farz to takecare of their parents

The great majority of people I've encountered. A girl's home isn't really her home. It's her father's or husband's. it's not upto the daughter to help em out blah blah

umm thats just some warped saying... i used to think that was the case too at ur age (well in my teens) but honestly, its not like that at all...
personally, u should take care of and respect everyone...
